Takashimizu Trail

Takashimizu Trail

A 8,132-meter hiking trail that takes you along the ridge that forms the boundary between the town of Kagamino in Okayama Prefecture and the town of Miasa in Tottori Prefecture. After starting out in Ningyo Pass at an elevation of 735 meters, visitors can hike to Takakiyomizu Meadows (elev. 950 meters) and Mt. Hakushu (elev. 1,044 m). The course is covered in soft wood chips and is easy on the legs and hips, allowing visitors to enjoy the hike in comfort while taking in the beautiful mountains, the delicate pink shades of the flowers of the rare Shortia plant, and untouched beech forests.
